They can appear even if you have never smoked before. A muscle called the orbicularis oris  borders the lips, smokers lines can be found at any point around this muscle, either while it is contracted or at rest.

Filler or Botox can be used to treat these lines, Botox works as a great preventative to them worsening and filler will restore the volume and reduce their appearance.
